Onboarding and orientation for those becoming a Pastor (Level #5)

Step #1: Ground Rules

Go over our basic ground rules below with your Pastoral Supervisor.

Core Competency

Above Reproach – Having good will and favor of congregation.

Expectations

Protect and communicate mission, purposes, beliefs and values of LVCC.
Develop 3-5 Ministry Coordinators.
Completion of a 4-year degree or equivalent of.
Assist with funerals, weddings, counseling, teaching, baptisms and worship services.
Demonstrate proficiency in bible knowledge and teaching.
Fulfill 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

Skills

Demonstrate competency as a Coordinator.
Communicate, direct and oversee Coordinators.
Teaching, speaking, preaching in either a large or small group setting.
Providing wisdom and discernment regarding larger church issues.

Step #2: Pastoral Licensing Process

Go over Pastoral Licensing Process with your Supervising Pastor.

Step #3: Ministry-Specific Materials

Your Supervising Pastor will review additional materials and covenants specific to your ministry.
